Far from all companies know their printing costs
Brother has signed an agreement with Denmark-based EuroForm that globally has more than 10 million printers under contract. Brother’s dealers in Denmark and the Nordics are now able to offer their customers high-end JetAdvice® solutions for print management from EuroForm.
Most corporations have a fair overview of their desktops, laptops and servers. They are monitored by the company’s IT crew or by cloud based external service providers.
But what about the printers?
How many can say that they know exactly how much each of their printers is printing out every day, what percentage is in color, how big expenses are on ink and paper – and if the printers meet the demand that the company has in the department, where the printer is placed.
In other words – are the printers oversized and too expensive, or do they fit in perfectly?
In order to help its many customers solving this challenge, Brother has now entered an alliance with EuroForm A/S, one of the world’s largest suppliers of software for Print Management.
Today, EuroForm has more than 10 million printers worldwide under contract for its JetAdvice® solutions. EuroForm has representations all over the globe.
Important for Brother
Brother is winning more and more large customers and enterprises. They are not only demanding attractive prices and strong specifications. They are also looking for smart solutions that can integrate the printers with the company’s other IT equipment, ERP systems and security requirements.
Brother has a series of its own solutions for Managed Print Services (MPS), but none of them offer the versatility that comes with JetAdvice® from EuroForm.
”Our own MPS software only works with Brother printers. JetAdvice® from EuroForm can integrate with all printer brands on the market,” says Henning Elkjær, who is the Nordic Marketing Director & Sales Director (Denmark) for Brother Nordic A/S.
”If we want to win larger customers with many employees, we will very often see that the company has printers from several vendors. Our new extended cooperation with EuroForm helps us offer our customers an optimal solution,” adds Mr. Henning Elkjær.
With JetAdvice® a Brother dealer can use the cloud for collecting data from the end user’s printers. Based on this information, the dealer can recommend changes for optimizing the user’s printer fleet.
If a company is a heavy user of a small printer, it might be much more economical to buy a larger printer – or replace a colour printer with a faster monochrome laser printer. Not all users need printouts in colour.
JetAdvice® will also notify the Brother dealer when a printer at a customer’s site is running out of toner or ink. Then, the dealer has time to provide the new supply before the printer runs dry.
Brother plans to offer EuroForm JetAdvice® to selected dealers and partners. In the first step, the cooperation between EuroForm and Brother covers Denmark and the Nordics.
